<aside> 🆕 EDIT:

As of today (06/06/2024), $PRIME caching for $PROMPT went live.

If you find this analysis useful, and if it makes you want to cache some $PRIME after reading, it would help out if you could use my referral link for caching your $PRIME.

What is WayFinderAI & How does it work?

WayFinder is an AI blockchain tool that was developed as core infrastructure for Colony, Parallel Studios’ upcoming blockchain and AI-powered strategic survival simulation game.

(Check TL;DR to get an overall feel for what it is and then read this if you want)

Shells

WayFinder Shells are the most important part of WayFinder, they are highly customizable, user-owned, AI agents within the WayFinder ecosystem with a hive-like mind, meaning they all learn from each other’s experiences.

Untitled

For example, a Shell will evaluate existing path options for a transaction by checking the number of transactions other Shells have successfully completed using a particular path.

Shells can be tasked with anything on-chain related, and based on their knowledge (the already established paths in the graph) they’ll do their best to complete the task.

A task can be something like, “Bridge 50% of my ETH from Base to <insert sol address> on Solana”

Untitled

To get access to a Shell you need to own $PROMPT, WayFinder’s native governance token.

Ecosystem Graph

Shells work by leveraging a collective indexing and knowledge-based graph.

Untitled

This graph stores all current paths as edges and nodes. These edges and nodes represent:

Untitled

This graph may be stored off-chain, for rapid and effective handling of dynamic data (like prices, transaction volumes, contract states, etc.) and affordable access to information.

Snapshots of this graph will periodically be published on-chain for transparency which will allow any changes to be recorded.

Bounty Board

The good thing about this graph is that as more and more people use Shells more and more paths will be added to the graph and indexed, as a result of Path Bounties, which are funded by the WayFinder foundation (and can also be manually added and funded by a human user).

Each time a Shell encounters a task it cannot complete, for example, it might not be able to bridge ETH from Arbitrum to Base because no one made a path for bridging for these 2 chains, the Shell will automatically appeal for this specific path to be created and it will be added to the Bounty board.

A user can then go out of their way and create a path for the bounty and get rewarded for it.

Untitled

This allows for the development of a larger “ecosystem” graph which enables the WayFinder to find alternative routes to the same destination and fulfill users’ needs, effectively making it “smarter”.

For example, a user might prefer the cheaper route over the faster or the safer route, etc.

Another possibility that opens up with this graph is querying the Shell for info like all DEX pairs of token A, the spread between all of those, and the market depth to find the best DEX to use for a swap.

Now, the WayFinder won’t just launch with an empty graph and effectively serve no purpose.

The WayFinder will launch with an initial instruction set and roadmap for AI agents to navigate tasks on a given blockchain, which as I said before will expand as more and more people use Shells.

There will be incentives for creating wayfinding paths, BUT if your path is being used, you will also get a portion of the fees generated by your path paid in $PROMPT.

However, making your own path isn’t just like clicking a few buttons…

To create your path you will need to submit it for review, and stake $PROMPT to show you believe in the efficiency and safety of your path.

The paths will be evaluated by the community’s Verification Agents, as well as human observers appointed by the community.

Verification Agents

Verification Agents are deployed by WayFinder to validate a set of wayfinding paths deemed to be safe and correctly specified.

Initially, a select group of trusted, community-maintained Verification Agents will work to verify proposed new wayfinding paths, testing for accuracy and effectiveness, and controlling against nefarious pathways.

You will also be able to have your Verification Agents and help find faulty paths.

And if you do find any, you will get a portion of any bounties or slashed stakes coming from seizing the staked tokens of a WayFinding path developer.

Now back to creating your own path.

Path Creation

If your path is incorrectly formatted, or potentially dangerous, you will get your stake slashed.

If your path is approved it will be processed by the WayFinder Graph Architect and added to the graph and any Shell will be able to use it.

However, you won’t be able to withdraw the $PROMPT you staked for path creation as long as the path is active. Should there be any issues with your path, your staked $PROMPT will act as compensation for the affected user.

There’s also a threshold for staked $PROMPT…

To keep your path active, you need to stake at least 1/3 of the daily transaction volume generated by your path. If your staked $PROMPT falls below that threshold you will need to allow the protocol to use a portion of the fees you receive to fill up your staked prompt until it is equal to 2/3 of the daily transaction volume generated by your path. After that, you continue receiving the fees as normal…

Should the daily transaction volume generated by your path drop, you will receive a portion of your staked $PROMPT back so that the staked $PROMPT still meets the threshold.

Also, there will be a list of paths that don’t meet the minimum threshold for staked $PROMPT as a cautionary note for users. After a path gets to the required threshold the warning will disappear.

But the automatic stake increases create a problem….

Essentially if you were to create a successful path that people are likely to use, as time goes on, daily transaction volume will also increase, so you would constantly need to allocate your fees to increase the stake and effectively get penalized for creating a successful path.

In order to prevent this from happening and to get the path creators their rewards, a % of fees (based on valid transactions from all of the paths a user made) would become exempt from redirection to the stake.

(For $PRIME)

The number of $PRIME holders has been increasing which is great.

But the direct WayFinder community isn’t that big there are only 130 people in their discord (check Socials), but I’m guessing that as the project nears its completion and goes public the people talking about it will push it more and more, and since they’re fairly popular it will gain some exposure.
